Meet Grayson

Much of who I am as a counselor is heavily influenced by my personal experience with counseling. My aim is to position my clients in a way that allows them to maintain progress on the goals they created upon beginning their counseling journey. This happens by dedicating time both in and outside the counseling room. Starting this journey can feel really daunting. I know from firsthand experience what a sacrifice it is to prioritize your mental health. My hope and prayer is that by saying “yes” to this important work, you will soon realize what a gift you can give yourself by healing, growing, and working through life’s challenges. I approach counseling by creating a relationship with my clients first. In my opinion, rapport is one of the most vital elements of counseling. I utilize an eclectic approach that includes CBT, person-centered, and attachment-based theories. My training is from a Christian-integrative institution, and I enjoy using this style when appropriate for my clients. It is important to me that additional resources are given that can be explored outside of session. These may include books, podcasts, articles, worksheets, or websites. I work with kids, adolescents, teens, and adults. I have a passion for helping clients navigate through transitions while staying true to who they are. These can range from children adjusting to a new grade to adults acclimating to a career change. Mental health needs vary by age, but they never vary in importance.

Fun Fact about yourself:

I am really passionate about curly hair care. I started embracing my curls in 2020 and have never looked back! There is truly something to be said for embracing the God-given qualities and traits that make us unique.
